Imagine a VENN Diagram

A Venn diagram offers a simple way to picture a relationship: two overlapping circles, each one representing a partner.

Imagine one circle is red and the other is blue. The place where the two circles overlap is the relationship itself—the shared space between you. This space does not simply exist on its own. It is shaped by how you treat it, tend to it, and participate in it together.

A relationship can be neglected. It can be strained, hurt, or polluted by resentment, disconnection, and repeated patterns that go unspoken or unrepaired. But it can also be nourished, protected, and intentionally built.

Through the Butterfly Blueprint and its seven guiding principles, couples learn to care for this shared space with greater awareness, compassion, and responsibility. As each partner brings their own qualities, experiences, longings, and strengths into the relationship, something new begins to emerge.

Red and blue do not disappear. Each partner remains distinct. But in the overlap, where both are present and both are contributing, purple appears—a new colour that neither partner could create alone.

This is the heart of the Butterfly Blueprint: the relationship becomes more than two separate individuals. It becomes a living, growing connection that both partners help create.
